King County Center Named as Top National Behavioral Service Provider
Bellevue, WA, January 16, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) has recognized Northwest Behavioral Associates for the second time with a 2-Year Re-Accreditation, acknowledging the organization as a top behavioral service provider in the country. The BHCOE Accreditation recognizes exceptional behavioral health providers that excel in the areas of clinical quality, staff satisfaction and qualifications, and consumer satisfaction. To earn Re-Accreditation, the provider must maintain standards of quality between accreditation evaluations. These measures include maintaining high staff satisfaction, high caregiver satisfaction and appropriate low staff turnover.
“Northwest Behavioral Associates is an incredible resource for the Bellevue area autism community and beyond. They originally earned accreditation in 2016 and achieved BHCOE’s Best in Staff Satisfaction Award for the year. Their re-accreditation highlights their commitment to maintaining top quality standards and their dedication to striving to be the best for their clients. They continue to provide comprehensive, individualized services and are an example in creating excellent programming to enable their clients to make meaningful progress,” said Sara Gershfeld Litvak, Founder of BHCOE. “We are excited to congratulate Dr. Stacey Shook and her team on running a top-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program we are very proud to award them a 2-year Re-Accreditation as a BHCOE.”

BHCOE Accreditation is the only ABA-specific accreditation. It provides feedback regarding clinical best practices, staff satisfaction and turnover, and consumer protection. Acting as a third-party, the organization systematically measures and reports on existing quality criteria in the behavior analysis community using standardized methods and practices, and accredits only those service agencies that meet these standards.
“At Northwest Behavioral Associates, our mission is to provide individualized therapy that is both ethical and effective. We are committed to the delivery of innovative services provided by our compassionate and knowledgeable staff.” said Dr. Stacey Shook, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA, “We are honored to earn our BHCOE Re-Accreditation because it reflects the high standards we continue to hold ourselves to, the values we prioritize, and our transparency in opening our doors to third party evaluators while working to elevate the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.”
